'The Challenge: Final Reckoning' Sneak Peek: Zach and Amanda's Alliances Make Voting Difficult

Amanda Garcia and Zach Nichols have the power vote, but their loyalties make deciding how to use it difficult in Newsweek's exclusive clip of Tuesday's episode of The Challenge: Final Reckoning.

For the latest challenge, the competitors were divided into two teams. The winning team chose one set of partners to get the power vote (meaning their choice during nominations counts twice) and be safe from elimination in Armageddon. Amanda scored one of her team's two points and she and Zach were named the winners.

The problem is they can't agree which team to name to send into Armageddon in the deliberation room, as seen in the exclusive sneak peek below.

Zach wants to vote in Shane Landrum and Nelson Thomas, but Amanda refuses because Shane's part of her alliance, the Lavender Ladies. Amanda, Shane, Ashley Mitchell and Sylvia Elsrode call themselves that because of the color of their room in 2017's Invasion of the Champions.

"Shane's causing way too much s*** in this house," Zach argues. In recent episodes, Shane started fights with Da'Vonne Rogers and Cara Maria Sorbello, stirred up drama regarding Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio and sabotaged his team during a challenge.

"Shane's causing more s*** than Cara?" Amanda asks. Cara Maria was involved with Kyle Christie during Vendettas earlier this year. Though he became involved with Faith Stowers and Ashley on Final Reckoning, he was still jealous when Cara Maria started flirting with Paulie Calafiore.

Just like Amanda refuses to vote for Shane and Nelson, Zach can't say Johnny and Tony Raines' names. "We're eventually going to have to vote for them because I don't know about you, but I don't want to run a final with them," Amanda tells him. "I think the guy teams need to be out by the end."

He points out that means Shane and Nelson need to be out by then, too. "You're going to have to choose between all your Lavender [Ladies]," he says.

Amanda's not ready to choose yet. "Right now, there's obviously a lot of other teams that I really don't care about," she tells her partner.

"Zach's with a certain group of people, and I'm with a certain group of people. Half the time I wish I was partnered with somebody that was actually on my side," she admits.

Zach and Amanda's argument is the perfect example of what Cara Maria told Newsweek in July. "There's basically two alliances in the house, and each person [of a team] is on a different half of that alliance," she said. "When it comes time for decision making and everything, there's going to be some serious head-butting."

The Challenge: Final Reckoning airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
