What We Know About 'Flip or Flop' Spin-Off Series 'Christina in the Country'

Christina Hall (née Haack) has had a busy year of it. Her show with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa Flip Or Flop came to an end after 10 seasons, and she surprised fans everywhere by announcing she had got remarried after a year of dating realtor Josh Hall.

Crucially, she also signed a new contract with HGTV to continue producing Christina on the Coast, which is getting a new season in late 2022.

Now, she has announced that she will be releasing a second series this year, which has the working title Christina in the Country.

"Christina has captivated millions of passionate fans with her West Coast life in three seasons of Christina on the Coast," said HGTV's vice president of programming Katie Ruttan-Daigle in a statement. "Now she's ready to share new family adventures and stunning design and renovation projects set in the beautiful Tennessee countryside. We can't wait to see what's next for her in Christina in the Country."

Here's what we know so far about the series.

HGTV did not confirm an exact release date for the show, but they did confirm it would be airing in late 2022.

Though also unconfirmed, the series is expected to air after the fourth season of Christina on the Coast. What is confirmed, however, is the episode count—Christina in the Country is expected to have six episodes.

What will Christina in the Country be about?

While Christina on the Coast sees Hall helping Southern California residents transform their properties, in the Country will be a more personal project for the realtor. Set in Tennessee, the project will see her helping locals with their projects while also working on her own property, a vacation home she purchased in May 2021.

Speaking to People Magazine at the time, she said: "This insanely beautiful modern farmhouse had been on the market one day so we went and saw it and I immediately fell in love and made an offer. It's on 23 acres, super private and has everything I could imagine and more."

The official synopsis for the show reads: "Christina in the Country [working title] will follow Christina on her next chapter as she expands her design business across the country and puts down roots at her second home—a Tennessee farm. Now, Christina, who always lived an active, outdoor lifestyle in Southern California, will create more life-long memories with her three children and husband Josh Hall in Tennessee."

Those three children are Taylor, 11 and Brayden, 6, who she had with former Flip or Flop co-host Tarek El Moussa, and Hudson, 2, the son of Celebrity IOU: Joyride host Ant Antstead.

Speaking of her new show in a statement, Hall said: "I am so excited and grateful Christina in the Country has officially been picked up. I love that I get the best of both worlds—the coast and the country. It's an incredible opportunity to get to work in Tennessee, our home away from home."
