College Football 2019: Where to Watch Murray State vs. Georgia, TV Channel, Live Stream, Odds

Georgia makes its home debut for this season when it takes on Murray State on Saturday in what should be a largely lopsided affair.

The Racers compete in the FCS division—the second tier of college football—and last made the playoffs in 2002, when they lost to Western Kentucky in the first round.

The Bulldogs, by contrast, are the No.3-ranked team in college football's top tier and lost the SEC Championship to Alabama last season, a year after falling to the Crimson Tide in the national title game.

Georgia got its season off to a solid start with a 30-6 win on the road against Vanderbilt last week.

The Bulldogs shut down the Commodores in three quarters, holding to just 225 total yards. In comparison, Georgia racked up 325 yards rushing yards and averaged 7.6 yards per play, despite giving up 10 penalties for combined 117 yards.

Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart, however, suggested there was no reason to get carried away.

"We just have a long way to go, a lot to improve," he told reporters earlier this week, as per 247Sports.

"And we will do that. Those kids are eager to learn and get better. We're not where we need to be as a team, but especially as a defensive unit and offensive unit."

Jake Fromm went 15-of-23 for 156 yards and a touchdown, while D'Andre Swift rushed for 147 yards over 16 carries but failed to score.

Fromm is yet to lose a game at home for Georgia and the record is unlikely to change against Murray State. The Bulldogs are 48.5-point favorite against the Racers, the second-largest spread of the weekend in the SEC as Alabama is a 54-point favorite over New Mexico State.

Last year, Georgia thrashed Austin Peay 45-0 in its biggest win of the season and won by 39 points against UMass in a 66-27 rout.

For its part, Murray State started on the front foot, with a 59-20 win over the Pikeville Bears last weekend.

Preston Rice completed 20 of his 31 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns and had 50 rushing yards, while Jared McCray and Rodney Castille combined for 139 rushing yards over 16 carries.

Taking on the No.3-ranked team in the country on the road is obviously an altogether different challenge for the Racers, but Smart insisted the Bulldogs would not underestimate their opponents.

"I think Murray State's got a great program," he said.

"They've got a lot of tempo; they do a great job offensively and defensively. We're going in thinking we've got to beat Murray State. We've got to go in and execute
