College Football TV Schedule: What Time Is The Miami vs. Florida Game 2019 Saturday? Prediction, Odds, Preview

College football officially kicks off Saturday with a handful of games that lead up to next weekend's full slate of opening games for teams across the country. Though there are only four games on Saturday, there is a neutral-site game in Florida between two of the state's premier heavyweights that will certainly draw attention, and more than just state bragging rights.

The University of Miami Hurricanes will face the University of Florida Gators at the crossroads of the state — Orlando. The Hurricanes and Gators will meet at Camping World Stadium for a primetime matchup that not only has Sunshine State fans giddy, but those from the SEC and ACC clamoring to see which conference gets the upper hand in early-season trash talking.

The Miami Hurricanes were the team of the 1980s with national championships in 1983, 1987 and 1989, with more wins in 1991 and 2001. The Florida Gators won their first national championship in 1996, and followed by titles in 2006 and 2008. And though the two schools fight for state supremacy with Florida State University, other teams with up-and-coming programs have already established themselves as contenders, like Central Florida and South Florida.

Florida produces top talent that reaches the NFL and, in some cases, the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Florida-Miami matchup near Disney World on Saturday might be college football's way of a good appetizer for the 150th season of college football.

Here are things you need to know about this matchup, and the other teams playing Saturday.

Key Matchup

Florida offense vs Miami defense

Florida's second-year coach Dan Mullen has a proven quarterback in Feleipe Franks who operates a unit that understands the Mullen philosophy. On the other side, the Hurricanes defense has been fine-tuned the last three seasons by then-defensive coordinator Manny Diaz, who enters his first year as head coach.

Prediction: Florida

"If you're expecting a crisp, well-played game on Saturday night, this one won't live up to your expectations. Why? Miami's defensive front will take advantage of Florida's uncertainty up front on the offensive line, and Florida's defensive front will make Williams extremely uncomfortable in his first meaningful action as a major college quarterback. Because of that, I'll side with the signal-caller who has gone through several ups and downs in his career but ended last season on a high note. That quarterback is Franks, of course. Give me the Gators to win, but covering will be more of challenge." — Barrett Sallee, CBS Sports
