Conservatives Are 'Harassing' Cardi B Following Instagram Video About Government Shutdown

Harassment has reportedly ensued for Brox-born rapper, Cardi B as a result of speaking out about the government shutdown via Instagram video last week.

"All these conservatives been harassing me and telling me the most disgusting things these past few days," the 26-year-old rapper tweeted Tuesday. "Listen I'm not telling ya to turn liberal all I'm saying is to admit that your president is f***in up this country right now! Liberal or conservative we ALL suffer as citizens."

The tweet seems to be in response to Fox 5 host, Stephanie Hamill calling out the rapper for her collaboration with City Girls.

In the Era of #meToo how exactly does this empower women?
Leftists, @iamcardib , feel free to chime in.
THX ..

"It says to women that I can wear and not wear what ever I want. do w.e I want and that NO still means NO," the Brox native responded. "So Stephanie chime in..If I twerk and be half naked does that mean I deserve to get raped and molested ? I want to know what a conservative woman like you thinks."

This isn't the first social media run-in the rapper has had with the right. Following her Instagram video regarding the government shutdown, Cardi B caught the attention of conservative commentator Tomi Lahren.

"I just wanna remind you that it's been a little bit over three weeks," the rapper said in the Instagram video. "Trump is now ordering … federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid. This s**t is really f***ing serious, bro. This s**t is crazy. Our country is in a hellhole now — all for a f**king wall."

"Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats," Lahren tweeted. "HA! Keep it up, guys! #MAGA2020"

Cardi B responded saying she'd "dog walk" Lahren, which looked to ignite a Twitter war.

"I'm sure you would," Lahren fired back. "Still doesn't make your political rambling any less moronic. #BuildthatWall"

"You're so blinded with racism that you don't even realize the decisions the president you root for is destroying the country you claim to love so much," Cardi B responded. "You are a perfect example on no matter how educated or smart you think you are you still a SHEEP!"

Even U.S. representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joined in on the Twitter fight.

Why do people think they can mess with Bronx women without getting roasted?

They act as though our borough hasn’t been perfecting the clapback game since the Sugarhill Gang 🤣 y’all just found it on Twitter

— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) January 20, 2019

However, Ocasio-Cortez was not safe from the words of Lahren: "Aren't you the same girl who whines about Trump inciting violence? Now you applaud it because it's against a female conservative you disagree with politically? Convenient. P.S. I do fully acknowledge @iamcardib is smarter than YOU."

The Twitter replies seemed to reflect the widely divided views of each figure's fanbase, with Cardi B's more than 4.6 million followers ridiculing Lahren as "ignorant," "bigoted" and craving any type of attention. Meanwhile, Lahren's fanbase accused Cardi B of being a "hypocrite" and having to sell her soul in order to maintain her B-level celebrity status among conservatives.
