Corgi Puppy Outgrows Favorite Napping Spot in Tear-Jerking Viral Video

A video montage of a little corgi puppy outgrowing his favorite napping spot has captured hearts online, having attracted more than 20.6 million views.

In the clip, which was shared to TikTok by an account called Cooperauggiethecorgi, we can see the puppy, whose name is Cooper, walking around a living room.

The camera then cuts to a shot of the small pet snoozing on the bottom shelf of a wooden television unit, looking very content.

What follows is montage of different snaps of Cooper relaxing in the same spot, however in each one he has gotten a bit bigger.

By the last slide the animal barely fits on the shelf.

Text overlaying the clip, which can be watched here, reads: "POV: You're watching your puppy slowly outgrow his favorite spot."

The heart-wrenching footage is made all the more emotive because it is set to the song "Slipping Through My Fingers" by Swedish pop group, ABBA.

Cooperauggiethecorgi captioned the adorable video, which can be watched here, writing: "He's not gonna fit much longer [crying-face emoji] #corgi #puppy #dogsoftiktokviral."

Since the clip was shared to TikTok on October 20 it has gained lots of traction online, having surpassed 4.8 million likes and 95,400 shares.

Many people also rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts on the adorable video.

One TikTok user, Torinextdoor, wrote: "I guarantee he will try to squeeze as long he can."

Another person, Melbfoodieee, added: "Why am I crying lol [laugh out loud]."

Kakinator typed: "Dog: Gets bigger. Everyone: BREAK THE SHELF RIGHT NOW OR I WILL."

Angy had faced a similar situation, stating: "Same here I cried a little bit when my cat tried to go to his special place and didn't fit in it anymore it was so sad [crying-face emoji]."

Meghann Porter shared: "One day my corgi woke up and couldn't fit under the couch anymore, which was his favorite nap spot. He didn't nap for DAYS. It was rough on all of us."

Many people also begged the pet owner to restructure the furniture so the pet can fit, including Ryan who wrote: "The only logical step is to move the shelf up."
