Couple Share How They Play With Their Blind Dog in Heartwarming Viral Video
A video of a couple playing with their blind dog outside has gone viral online, having surpassed 6.9 million views.
The footage was shared to TikTok by a Sheena and Jason, a married couple who have set up the account Mavistheairstream to document their travels across the U.S. in an Airstream caravan.
In the video we can see their 12-year-old toy poodle Riley, who has an adorable mohawk, running about in a field.
The little white pooch is leaping joyously as the text overlaying the clip reads: "Our blind dog realizing it's safe to run in this field."
We can then see the couple making noises and leaning down to pet the animal as they explain: "We clap and cheer to encourage him and he knows that means he can't get hurt."
The small poodle is clearly having the time of his life as he bounces about the grass.
The adorable video, which can be watched here, is captioned: "Don't give up on blind dogs. They adapt and they can still thrive. #foryou #wholesome #dogs."
Since it was posted on August 10, the video has gained lots of traction online, having been liked by a whopping 1.6 million people.

User613471964703 asked: "How did he lose his sight?"
To this Mavistheairstream responded: "Progressive Retinal Atrophy [PRA] that's genetic (and irreversible) as well as cataracts."
The Royal Veterinary College in London explains how PRA can progress: "If your pet is only showing signs at night it is likely that the visual impairment will progress to day light.
"Cataracts may develop secondary to PRA. Your pet will most likely not be a candidate for cataract surgery."
However, it does add that despite there not being an effective treatment for the condition "blind pets usually cope very well and will continue to enjoy life as long as they are not in discomfort."
