The Los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, and New York Yankees are seemingly the top three teams in the free agency sweepstakes for superstar outfielder Kyle Tucker.
Tucker is almost certainly going to leave the Chicago Cubs for a deal worth over $300 million this offseason. The Dodgers, Yankees, and Blue Jays are three of the only teams that could afford such a contract.
Jackson Roberts of Fastball OnSi predicted Tucker would opt to sign with the Blue Jays in free agency this offseason.

"It's hard to see Bregman fitting in now that the Jays have a new option at third base, so that next splash, if it comes, will likely be either the four-time All-Star Tucker or Bichette," Roberts wrote. "And as tough as it is to part ways with a player who's been in the organization nearly a decade, the Blue Jays should be willing to take a leap of faith."
The Blue Jays seem like the most logical fit. After reportedly agreeing to a deal with infielder Kazuma Okamoto, signing Tucker would be the perfect cherry on top of the ideal offseason.
The Blue Jays don't desperately need an infielder anymore, so they likely won't pursue Bo Bichette or Alex Bregman. Tucker would be expensive, but the Blue Jays have the money and they need to spend it.
The Yankees could make a big push for the slugger, but it seems like they're going to be more focused on Cody Bellinger than anybody.
