'Crazy Racist' Woman Thrown Off Flight After Claiming Muslim Passengers Were Threat to Safety of Plane

Two women were kicked off a commercial plane in Turkey on Friday after racially abusing a group of Muslim travelers and claiming they were a danger to fellow passengers.

The two unnamed women were thrown off the Thomas Cook flight from Dalman, Turkey to London in the early hours of Friday morning after asking flight crew to remove three Muslim men from the plane, The Independent reported.

Several videos of the incident, filmed by fellow passengers, showed one of the women removing her luggage from the overhead compartments before being walked off the aircraft by police. Both the unruly travelers are believed to be British and one is believed to be in her 30s, The Mirror noted.

Three Muslim men wearing white prayer shawls were the targets of their abuse. The women said the men were "terrorists" and claimed they posed a "threat" to the safety of the flight, other passengers said.

According to The Mirror, one of the women removed from the flight had claimed to be suffering from a panic attack while launching the racist tirade. Take off was delayed for 70 minutes as staff tried to defuse the situation.

Belgian Mario Van Poppel was on the plane. He told The Independent that the woman captured in the video was a "crazy racist." He tweeted: "A passenger on our Thomas Cook flight refuses to stay on the plane because three bearded men in white prayer robes are on board."

Van Poppel added that the three Muslim men were clearly offended, but noted that they "kept their cool."

Londoner Shamea Oldham told The Mirror that the irate woman "stood at the front of the plane screaming abuse. She kept saying she didn't want to fly with them and refused to let the plane take off with them on board."

"She said the other passengers were disturbed to want to fly with them," Oldham added. "What she was saying was appalling. She was screaming saying they were a 'threat'."

Another passenger, Shanea Kerry, told The Independent that the two women had unsuccessfully attempted to have the three men removed from the flight. "They went to the front of the plane, spoke to the flight attendants & attempted to get the 3 men removed by stating that they are 'disgusting' & 'a threat'," Kerry tweeted.

"Abuse was just flying around the plane" as one of the women came to collect her bags before leaving the aircraft, Kerry added. "Quite a few people called her out for the racism...she continued to tell us we are stupid for staying on the plane with the three men."

When Kerry confronted her directly over her "disgusting behavior," the woman reportedly called her a "fat bitch."

Thomas Cook explained that the two women were removed from the aircraft due to their "offensive behavior."

In a statement sent to Newsweek, the company said, "The safety of our customers and crew is always our first priority and we do not accept this kind of behavior on our aircraft. We are sorry to our customers for the delay this caused to their flight."
