Marcus Rashford, Manchester United's young striker, is being courted by football's super-agent Jorge Mendes, it has been reported.

The 18-year-old shot to fame after scoring seven goals in his last 13 games for Louis van Gaal's side, including two on his debut. Now he may be on the verge of joining an exclusive club.

Mendes, the Portuguese agent who represents Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo, was reported in The Times to be keen to add Rashford to his list.

Mendes also boasts Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez and Diego Costa among the clients he represents.

Currently, Rashford is believed to be supported by his brother, as his rise to stardom has accelerated so quickly, with his first-team debut less than two months ago.

The fervor around Rashford's prospects is so great that calls have even been made for Roy Hodgson to select him in the England squad for the European Championships in France in June.
