From complaining about tidying up, recording TikTok dances, to hopping in the car wearing pajamas: these are just three scenarios that are all too familiar for young people these days.

The main character of this viral clip, however, is not your typical content creator, but rather Ines Rae's father, 55. He is a hydrologist who has perfected his impression of his 21-year-old daughter in a video montage. The video titled, "I asked my dad to imitate me," followed by "I feel violated," has been a huge hit on Instagram, receiving 7 million views.

Rae, from London, told Newsweek: "It was very realistic but exaggerated for comedy value. Everything that he did, I do in one way or another!"

Ines Rae and her father

...

During the video, the dad can be seen singing at the top of his lungs while driving in a snug blanket hoodie; pouting for the camera; and chatting with her 38,700 followers about the development of his fake tan.

Wearing a dressing gown and a bow in his hair, the father says, "My tan has reached the tiger bread stage," referring to the dough that has a crusty exterior.

Other scenes include denying all knowledge of an item of clothing despite wearing it; stealing alcohol from parents to drink with friends ahead of a night out; and questioning if cooked chicken can lead to food poisoning.

Dad dressed as daughter

...

Many of the dad's imitated moments are certainly relatable. We've all been there, refusing to take out the trash because it was covered in "bin juice" at some point in our lives.

The father-of-three is known as 'Daddy Rae' among his daughter's fans. Ines Rae, a singer-songwriter from London, said: "He's my bestie, he's so funny and down to earth."

The hilarious video has racked up more than 431,000 likes, and Rae added: "I think one of the reasons why it's so popular is because it resonates with so many people, parents and teenagers alike.

"At the end of the day, it doesn't matter where in the world you are, I think this shows that young people everywhere have a lot of the same likes and behaviors.

"We all have a lot in common. I think the themes I talk about in my music also reflect the same worries, concerns, hopes and dreams that all young people experience," Rae added.

Dad

...

'Daddy Rae' has also flawlessly executed 'girl maths,' as well as demonstrating his daughter's "health era," which involves eating chocolate spread from a jar. The amusing clips have made the internet roar with laughter, and the post has received a flood of positive feedback.

One user wrote: "Your dad is a brilliant teenage girl impersonator."

"Your father is a comedy genius," posted another.

A third commented: "Your dads impersonation might be slightly exaggerated....but it's based on you anyway and I can't help but feel like you're a super fun person to be around with everything being so chaotic."
