'Dancing with the Stars' Results: Who Left 'DWTS' Last Night?

The competition on Dancing with the Stars is starting to heat up, with only 11 couples left competing for the mirror ball trophy. This week was Grease Night and the couples put on their best Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson-inspired performances for the judges and audiences at home.

Sadly for one couple, their routine was not enough to make it through to next week and they had to say goodbye to the famous dancefloor. Newsweek has everything you need to know about the results of Dancing with the Stars week 5.

Who Left 'Dancing with the Stars' Last Night?

Monday night's (October 18) show was one of the most dramatic of the series, with one couple receiving top scores and a shock elimination in the space of two hours.

Spice Girl Melanie C and her professional partner Gleb Savchenko were the next couples to be eliminated from the competition, after finding themselves in the dance-off for the second week in a row.

Mel C went head to head against Olivia Jade and her professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy. The judges were divided over who send home, with Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli voting in favor of Mel C and Derek Hough voting in favor of Olivia.

As head judge, Len Goodman made the final decision, voting to save Olivia, sending Mel C home.

Mel's exit comes as a huge surprise, considering her quickstep to "You're the One That I Want" was described by Len as her "best dance" thus far.

They also received a score of 36 out of 40, placing them in joint-third place on the leaderboard.

Mel C took to Twitter to address her exit from Dancing with the Stars.

She penned: "I'm gutted to have been eliminated tonight but it's one of these things and it wasn't meant to be. It's been an incredible experience and I've met some wonderful people, the foremost being my fantastic partner and teacher Gleb!"

She also added her thanks to her fans, the production team and crew of Dancing with the Stars.

The couples left competing for the Dancing with the Stars mirror ball trophy are:

  • Melora Hardin and Artem Chigvintsev
  • Olivia Jade and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
  • Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten
  • Suni Lee and Sasha Farber

  • Kenya Moore and Brandon Armstrong

Who Was at the Top of the DWTS Leaderboard in Week 5?

After five weeks of stellar performances, JoJo Siwa and her professional partner topped the leaderboard with an incredible score of 40 out of 40.

They received 10s across the board after their mesmerizing foxtrot to "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee Reprise."

Sadly, NBA player Imam Shumpert and his partner Daniella Karagach found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 28 out of 40 following their Viennese Waltz.

On Dancing with the Stars, being at the bottom of the leaderboard does not necessarily mean couples will find themselves in the bottom two as the scores are combined with the public vote, meaning anything can happen.

Here's how the leaderboard looked at the of Week 5.

  • JoJo Siwa — 40
  • Amanda Kloots — 39
  • Melanie C — 36
  • Melora Hardin — 36
  • Olivia Jade — 36
