‘Dead or Alive 6’ 1.02 Patch Notes: Costume Part Drop and Character Balances

The latest update to Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive 6 , version 1.02, is available now and brings with it some character balances as well as adjustments to outfit drops. It also adds the first batch of wedding costumes.

Version 1.02 of Dead or Alive 6 is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and after you install the update the history doesn’t give much detail on what is available. Here’s what the update history reads:

  • Added "DOA6 Happy Wedding Costumes Vol.1".

  • Adjusted drawing method of awarded costume pattern parts and the response in case of exceeding necessary quantity.

  • Adjusted game balance.

  • Corrected various bugs and issues.

However, if you look deeper there are a ton of changes in this version of Dead or Alive 6.

First, there are new quests added to DOA Quest mode. DOA Quest is one of the best modes in the game, so it’s great to see Koei Tecmo add more to it. The adjustments to outfit drops were also balanced.

For those unaware, outfit parts are earned as random drops when you play in various modes. Earn enough parts to create the a new costume for the characters of Dead or Alive 6 . The adjustments are pretty vague, but Koei Tecmo is putting a max on specific parts so you don’t continuously get the same drops.

As for fighter balances, the most notable changes coming to Ryu, Phase 4, La Mariposa and Brad Wong. You can read the entire detailed patch notes from the official Team Ninja site, here.

But the one general balance made changed how some moves hit, and corrected bugs related to certain moves. In particular, the bug where Break Hold remained possible during Fatal Stun triggered by landing a hit during invulnerability to straight-line attacks, such as sidestepping or side attacks.

Dead or Alive 6 is available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
