Destiny 2 Lumina Quest Guide

First, you'll need to head to the EDZ and travel to the north of the Trostland. There, you'll go to the Salt Mines where you'll find the Transmat. Use the item and you'll get transported to a new area. Walk until you see a purple barrier. Jump on the guard rail next to it and look inside a small enclave to find a chest. Inside you'll find a letter that will instruct you to the next location from your signaling device. These appear in a random order.

The Nessus Chest is a bit trickier to find but if you follow the steps in the video, it should be yours.

Now head to Shaft 13 to find one more chest. Follow the instructions, rinse and repeat.

The Sinking Docks chest can be found on Titan, west of Siren's Watch.

Next, you'll need to find the Tangled Shore High Plains which can be found with this video.

Continuing your mission, you'll need to find the Spine of Keres Chest. Follow the instructions in this video so you can move on to the next location.

Io Excavation Site chest can be found in area number two.

The Mercury Lighthouse Chest can only be found by completing the Vex Crossroads public quest on Mercury. You'll need to head to the top of a lighthouse, where the chest will be waiting. Here's an image courtesy of TooBoo4U on the Destiny 2 reddit.

Now that you've opened all eight chests, you'll need to generate 250 Orbs of Light. Once that's done, you'll receive the Rose Hand Cannon. The purple weapon has three quests that need to be completed before you can unlock its perks.

  • Band Together: Complete a Nightfall strike with a score of 50,000 or higher.
  • Defend the Light: Defeat multiple enemy combatants in a row without reloading your weapon.
  • Face the Hordes: Complete encounters at the Blind Well, at any of the Black Armory forges, or in Escalation Protocol.

The next step just involves using the Rose Hand Cannon in Fireteam missions. Fighting alongside other Rose Hand Cannon users will make the mission go more quickly. There's no set amount of missions to complete, you just need to fill the gun's progress bar. Once that's completed, you'll need to generate 35 Orbs of Light, kill all the Invaders in Gambit without losing a single teammate and get 100 percent Guardian Kills in PVP.

The final quest requires you to enter the strike Will of the Thousands and reclaim the light from 11 different sources with a hand cannon equipped. Congratulations, you have just unlocked Lumina.

Here are the perks for Lumina:

  • Noble Rounds : Kills with this weapon leave behind Remnants. Absorbing a Remnant converts your next hipfired shot into an ally-seeking Noble Round and partially refills the magazine.
  • Blessing of the Sky: Using a Noble Round on an ally heals them and grants both you and them a weapon damage bonus for a short duration.
