Destiny 2 players recently started working their way through the Black Armory, and the adventure starts with a quest from Ada-1 to secure the Basic Machine Gun Frame. In this guide, we'll reveal the fastest way to finish the quest and move on to the Volundr Forge.
Destiny 2 Black Armory Weapon Core Locations
Once you go see Spider and head to the new Annex section of the Tower to talk to Ada-1, you'll be asked to "get a Weapon Core from a Black Armory Crate and collect 25 Compound Ether from Fallen enemies."

For this first part, Weapon Cores can be found around the Outskirts or Gulch portions of the EDZ. Once there, you'll encounter a brand-new fortified foe called the Forge Sabateuer. This battle shouldn't be too hard, as long as you have a powerful gun like the Sleeper Simulant. Just unload on the enemy, open the Chest it drops and kill the Fallen in surrounding areas to farm Ether. Wait for a few events and you shouldn't have a problem.
Get multikills and Hive kills with a Power Weapon
In this part of the quest, you must get 15 multikills and 50 Hive kills. Of course, the best place to locate Hive is in Escalation Protocol. Grab Thunderlord or any other Heavy Weapon used for crowd control and slay away until you reach the desired amount.
What are Powerful Enemies in Destiny 2?

For this next step, you'll need to kill 25 Powerful Enemies. While not explicitly explained, Powerful Enemies are another name for any boss-type foe with yellow-bar health. To do so, you can either stay on Mars in Escalation Protocol or farm the first section of the Leviathan Raid. Stay in your desired destination to complete the next requirement, which is to "collect Radiant Seeds" from dead yellow bars.
Volundr Forge Location
Powerful enemies dispatched, go back to Ada-1 and receive your Radiant machine Gun Frame.

At this point, the location of the Volundr Forge will appear on your map of the EDZ.

While the starting Power Level for the Volundr Forge is 610, boss encounters generally require a Power Level of at least 630. In other words, get ready to grind, because you're probably not ready to tackle the first Forge right now.
