Destiny 2 Xur Inventory March 1
Once you've located Xur, here's a quick recap of everything he's carrying, alongside the rolls for each piece of gear.
-
The Colony [Heavy Grenade Launcher - 29 Legendary Shards]: The Colony features the Insectoid Grenades perk, which allows grenades to chase targets and explode close to them. Like most weapons of this type, it's most useful for clearing out enemies in tight spaces. If used correctly, it can also be a real force in stopping Invaders and winning the Primeval fight in Gambit. With Season of the Drifter on the horizon, this is a good Exotic to have.
-
Knucklehead Radar [Hunter Helmet] - 23 Shards: Since Forsaken brought Destiny 2's sniper meta back into view, the Knucklehead Radar has become a much more useful helmet. As its name implies, the Upgraded Sensor Pack Perk gives access to radar while aiming and enhances resolution while crouched. If you're a Hunter sniper, the advantages there can't be overstated. It helps get the drop on your enemies in PvE and PvP alike.
- Bow Targeting / Hand Cannon Targeting / Hands-on/ Shotgun Reserves / Heavy Ammo Finder
-
Peacekeepers [Titan Leg Armor 23 Shards]: The main lure of Peacekeepers is its Mecha Holster perk, which reloads stowed SMGs to make them instantly ready when you switch them back in. Since it's possible to cycle between two SMGs, the Peacekeepers' benefits have a tendency to stack.
- Fusion Rifle Dexterity - Hand Cannon Dexterity - Outreach
- Scout Rifle Scavenger - Special Ammo Finder
-
Claws of Ahamkara [Warlock Gauntlets - 23 Shards]: The Claws of Ahamkara exist for the Warlock who lives in close range. Its Whispers perk allows you to gain additional melee charge and when paired with Attunement of Grace or the Voidwalker subclass, pushing out melee has never been so fun. It's not necessarily the best Exotic in general, but it has advantages outside of Crucible.
- Fusion Loader / Hand Cannon Loader / Impact Induction /Shotgun Scavenger / Heavy Ammo Finder
-
Five of Swords: This is a Nightfall Challenge Card that can raise or lower the Power handicap to fit your needs. Raising the handicap increases your score multiplier.
Overall, this week's Xur drop is a bit of a disappointment. While weapons like The Colony and Peacekeepers function well in certain specific scenarios, their advantages won't appeal to all players. It is definitely smart to have a Gambit-focused Exotic on sale heading into the Season of the Drifter, but not everyone is totally enamored with the hybrid PvE-PvP mode.
For those who've been frustrated by Xur's selection lately, Bungie just shared some exciting news. Once next week's update goes live, Forsaken Exotics will begin working their way into the rotation. If you want an easy Ace of Spades or One Thousand Voices, you might eventually get your chance.
Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Xur will be at Watcher's Grave till the next Weekly Reset.
