'Detroit: Become Human' Demo Available Tomorrow With Alexa Integration

Detroit: Become Human, the latest game from developer Quantic Dream, has officially gone gold. This means development is done and the game is ready for release. To celebrate, the studio has announced a demo for Detroit: Become Human is available to download starting tomorrow, April 24.

The demo for Detroit: Become Human will be ready at 12:01 a.m. EDT. on April 24. That means gamers on the West Coast will be able to download and start playing tonight at 9:01 p.m. PDT. The demo will encompass the first scene of the game, called "Hostage." During the demo, players take control of an android named Connor that is responsible for a tense hostage negotiation.

The demo also includes the ability to interact with Detroit: Become Human through an Amazon Alexa device. The ability, named CyberLife, will guide players through making some of the tough decisions in the "Hostage" demo. CyberLife can also give more information on characters seen in the demo, and give tips on how to replay the demo to see different outcomes. Use the following commands with Alexa to access all the demo has to offer:

  • Tell Me About– Get more details as you examine every piece of the crime scene.
    • Try saying: "Alexa, ask CyberLife to tell me about the fish?"
  • What's Their Story?– Uncover the truth behind any character you find within the demo.
    • Try saying: "Alexa, ask CyberLife to tell me about the Phillips Family?"
  • Alter the Course of History– Using the Flowchart at the end of the demo, use the skill to discover alternate endings.
    • Try saying: "Alexa, ask CyberLife why Connor failed to reach Daniel in time?"

To link your Alexa and demo of Detroit: Become Human, follow these steps:

1. Download the Detroit: Become Human Demo from the PS Store on PS4

2. Have access to any enabled Amazon Alexa Device

3. Download the Detroit: Become Human CyberLife Skill by saying "Alexa, enable CyberLife" or by doing a search for CyberLife with your Amazon Alexa app (requires Alexa app and Wi-Fi internet connection).

Detroit: Become Human releases for PS4 on May 25.
