What Devin Ratray's Lawyer Has Said About Alleged Domestic Assault Charge

Devin Ratray, 44, best known for playing Buzz in Home Alone, has recently been hit with with an alleged domestic assault charge on his girlfriend.

On Wednesday, December 22, Ratray was arrested in Oklahoma after turning himself in to police, on one count of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and another count of domestic assault and battery, according to reports.

Ratray has denied all allegations and has currently been released on a $25,000 bond, reports Fox News.

In a statement to NBC affiliate KFOR-TV, Ratray's attorney said: "Mr. Ratray denies he ever laid a hand on her [his girlfriend] or did anything in regards to anything like that.

"What we do know happened was the individual he was with, and he was from out of town [and] got into a disagreement. She called the police eventually. They showed up at the scene and two patrol officers talked to Mr. Ratray. They talked to the female.

"They didn't see anything that they thought was sufficient enough to place him under arrest or take him into custody."

Newsweek has contacted Ratray's representatives for comment.

According to the affidavit, obtained by KFOR, the alleged assault happened after Ratray and his girlfriend, who remains anonymous, attended a Pop Christmas Con which took place between December 4 and December 5.

After an evening of drinking, Ratray returned home to his girlfriend who was already in their hotel room at Hyatt Place, Oklahoma City.

The details reported by Detective Joseph Burnett in the affidavit allege Ratray choked his girlfriend, telling her "This is how you die."

Ratray also allegedly punched and pushed his girlfriend and she sustained multiple injures in the attack.

Ratray, an American actor, producer, and writer is best known for playing Macauley Culkin's mean older brother Buzz McCallister in Home Alone and Home Alone 2.

He most recently reprised his role as Buzz in Disney+'s Home Sweet Home Alone, which is streaming now.

After Home Alone, Ratray went on to star in the films Breaking Point, Side Effects, The Prince and Me, and Masterminds to name but a few.

Most recently, he starred in the 2019 film Hustlers as Stephen, appearing alongside Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Cardi B.

In TV, Ratray is well known for his role as Tinfoil Kevin in The Tick and Detective Nate Henry in Mosaic.

Most recently, he appeared in Chicago Med as Tommy Burke.
