A viral clip of a dog unusually jumping on her walk has viewers obsessing over the adorableness.

Given that this Australian kelpie lives in Western Australia, she might have picked up on a few characteristics of kangaroos. This is evident in how she acts on her walks.

The dog owner shared a clip of the walk on TikTok under the account @ashleighmunro94. The caption reads, "POV: your dog is part kangaroo."

Viewers might have thought this dog was a baby kangaroo if it wasn't for the caption because well, the jumps are strikingly similar to that of a kangaroo.

The dog's entire body works to give her the biggest hops. All four paws push off with such ease. Her tail spins like a helicopter. She'll even do a full 360-degree spin before completing five jumps in a row, the owner wrote in the comment section.

No matter how many times you rewatch the clip, this Australian kelpie's hilarious walk never gets old. Even the owner said she doesn't get over it.

What the Comments Say

Viewers have fallen in love with this dog and her happy jumps. The video brought in over 3.4 million views, 458,000 likes, and over 4,000 comments since being posted on August 12.

Why Do Dogs Jump On Walks?

You might not notice dogs jumping up and down on walks like this dog does, but the truth is that it happens often. The most common reason as to why is excitement, however, it could also mean they want attention, they're scared and anxious, or they are being possessive.

As adorable as it might seem, plenty of owners get frustrated with their jumping dogs. It can be time-consuming. The first way to combat this issue is learning to control the leash, the Dog Coaching Academy states. This includes walking your dog a tight leash, keeping them to one side, and stopping the walk when any jumping occurs.

Other options that might help stop the jumping include dialing down the pre-walk excitement and introducing other stimulation to distract them.
