A video of a dog's reaction to being confronted about bringing a stick into the home has gone viral on TikTok.
The video was posted by @anconley910 and has had seven million views since it was posted two days ago.
The footage shows a golden retriever pacing back and forth inside a home, growling at the camera at one point. A voice is heard repeatedly asking "June, what do you have?"

The pup appears to avoid the camera before later looking directly at it while letting out another growl.
The voice says, "What do you have? What did you bring in from outside?" as the dog is seen sitting up on the floor with her mouth open while looking at the camera.
As the voice asks "Is it a stick?" the canine shakes her head in denial. "Yes, it is," the voice replies with a giggle. "Yes, it is a stick," the voice repeats as the dog continues to shake her head and growl before the clip ends.
The dog's seemingly unwavering stance in the latest clip is not surprising because canines "are not sensitive to watching-eyes," according to a January 2020 study published in the journal Scientific Reports.
The study found that while people are less "likely to carry out risky behavior in general" when they feel they're being watched, "dogs, despite being highly sensitive to human eyes, do not show the watching-eye effect."
Can our canine companions feel guilt? Probably not, according to veterinary experts.
In an article for VCA, one of North America's largest animal hospital chains, veterinarians Ellen Lindell and Lynn Buzhardt as well as Monique Feyrecilde, a licensed veterinary technician, explained that "when your pet chooses a behavior that breaks house rules, such as stealing forbidden food, then at that moment, your pet does not likely ponder whether the behavior is 'right' or 'wrong.'"
"In your pet's mind, the action will bring immediate reward. In fact, by the time you discover the missing food, your pet will not even recall making the decision," they said.
