Ivanka Trump's Meat Loaf Mishap Prompts Avalanche of Jokes, Confusion

In today's bizarre Trump-related news, Ivanka Trump appears to have accidentally mistagged a photo of her father on Twitter—instead of tagging @realDonaldTrump, the presidential adviser briefly tagged @RealMeatLoaf. Yes, the singer.

Crucial U.S. Senate elections are taking place in Georgia today and President Trump headed to the state to support the Republican campaign with daughter Ivanka, with the latter posting a snap of their flight there.

"Off to Georgia with Dad! Get out and VOTE Georgia!!!" Ivanka captioned the selfie.

While the accidental Meatloaf tag has been removed, several people managed to capture screenshots of the humorous error.

Unsurprisingly, the gaffe has sparked a flurry of memes and jokes as Twitter users mocked Ivanka Trump for the mix-up.

One response reads: "Oh, is that an @ out of hell?"

"I would just like to point out that she didn't tag her dad in this picture," said another. "However, she did tag Meat Loaf. I feel like there is some symbolism in that."

CNN's DJ Judd tweeted: "One assumes Ivanka Trump did not mean to tag Grammy winning musical artist Meat Loaf in the selfie she took with the President aboard AF1, en route to tonight's rally in GA, but at this point in the cycle a surprise Meat Loaf appearance wouldn't even be *today's* weirdest thing."

Meat Loaf—given name Michael Lee Aday—appeared on Celebrity Apprentice with Trump back in 2011.

In 2017, he described the president and Ivanka as "intelligent" in an interview with Billboard.

"He's intelligent. He's like me in the sense that he will hire the best people for the position that he can find," Meat Loaf said. "And he will then listen to them and I would say probably say 70 percent of the time he will go with their recommendation. And probably 30 percent of the time he will go, 'I think it's better if we go this way.' His daughter's really intelligent. Don Jr. is really intelligent. So is President Trump."

The "I'd Do Anything For Love" singer told Rolling Stone in 2018 that he voted for Trump but wouldn't discuss the president.

On Monday, Donald Trump faced a media storm around the release of a phone call recording with Brad Raffensperger in which the president seemingly urged the Georgia secretary of state to "find" enough votes to overturn Joe Biden's victory in the state.
