Donald Trump's Crooked Tie Ignites Twitter As President Gives State of the Union Address

As Donald Trump delivered his State of the Union address in the House chamber on Tuesday evening, Twitter exploded with users ridiculing the president for his bright red tie, which was clearly crooked.

It took only a short few minutes for some viewers to notice the tie that was slightly leaning to the left with countless numbers of social media users expressing their frustration for the askew tie on Twitter. Since then, the internet hasn't stopped talking about it.

"Is someone going to tell Trump about his tie," one user wrote.

Another tweeted at the president: "@realDonaldTrump Your tie is crooked trump. Dear God please fix it. You look deranged. #StateOfTheUnion2019 #TieGate."

Although some viewers were merely pointing out that the tie was crooked, others began comparing the contorted red cloth to the president himself, claiming it was symbolic.

"What's more CROOKED than Trump's tie? Everything he says. #SOTU," one user wrote.

Another added: "Trumps as crooked as his tie #StateOfTheUnion"

"Trumps tie's as crooked as his campaign associates. Indict the tie!!! #SOTU," a user tweeted.

As criticisms about Trump's crooked tie continued to gather momentum, some Twitter users began pointing out another wardrobe mishap in the room: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's angled necklace.

"#SOTU I know you guys were hating on Trumps crooked tie. But I guess he's not the only one #NancyPelosi @SpeakerPelosi," one user wrote.

Another added: "At least Trump's tie is straight now, but Pelosi's necklace is still crooked."

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
