Donald Trump Jr. Shares Doctored Video of Joe Biden Touching Himself: 'Noooooooo Joe, Not During the Apology'

Donald Trump Jr. has responded to Joe Biden’s video about allegations of inappropriate contact by sharing a meme of the politician awkwardly touching himself.

Biden, the former vice president, released a statement yesterday promising to be more mindful of people’s personal space in the future, amid claims from multiple women that he had made them feel uncomfortable in the past due to inappropriate or unwanted physical contact.

He said in the now-viral clip: “Social norms have begun to change, they have shifted. And the boundaries of protecting personal space have been reset, and I get it. I get it. I hear what they are saying, I understand it. And I will be much more mindful, that’s my responsibility.”

In response, Trump Jr. mocked the video by sharing the meme to his 3.4 million followers on Twitter. The caption posted by the video’s creator read: “Noooooooo Joe, NOT DURING THE APOLOGY!” The president’s son did not specifically comment on the footage himself.

The meme used a still from the much-discussed picture of Stephanie Carter during a swearing-in ceremony for her husband in February 2015, showing Biden putting his hands on her shoulders and pressing his face behind her ear. In a March 31 blog, Carter described the image as being “misleadingly extracted from what was a longer moment between close friends.”

“I thought it would all blow over if I didn’t dignify it with a response. But clearly that was wishful thinking. I won’t pretend that this will be the last of that picture, but it will be the last of other people speaking for me,” Carter wrote about the headline-grabbing situation.

Yesterday, Trump Jr. also shared content about Biden from far-right publication Breitbart. The article resurfaced claims—reported by numerous outlets over the years—that Biden liked to swim in the nude at home. The claim first emerged in a 2014 book called The First Family Detail.

“I guess this is one of those ‘social norms’ that’s never changing... right Creepy Joe???” Trump Jr wrote. On Tuesday, the president’s son attacked Biden by describing him as a “creeper.”

The reaction to Biden’s apparent admission of inappropriate touching in the past was mixed, with some pointing out it was missing two key words: "I'm sorry." He was defended on-air by Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Former Nevada politician Lucy Flores, one of the women who publicly raised concerns about his behavior, wrote in a statement: “Given the work he has done on behalf of women, Vice President Biden should be aware of how important it is to take personal responsibility for inappropriate behavior, and yet he hasn't apologized to the women he made uncomfortable.”

Flores wrote for The Cut on March 29 that Biden made her feel "uneasy, gross, and confused" by kissing the back of her head during a political rally in 2014. In total, seven women have complained of his actions.

Earlier this week, President Trump commented on the situation that engulfed Biden as he is reportedly mulling over a 2020 presidential bid. "I was going to call him," Trump said during a Republican dinner event Tuesday. "I don't know him well. I was going to say, 'Welcome to the world, Joe. You having a good time, Joe? Are you having a good time?'"
