Donald Trump Slams Nancy Pelosi in Fox News Interview: 'I Think She's A Disgrace"

President Donald Trump used the backdrop of Normandy, France, on an historic occasion to berate Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on Thursday.

Just one day after reports surfaced that Pelosi didn't want to impeach the president but rather see him in "prison," Trump attacked her from foreign soil, while he was in France to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the 1944 D-Day invasion.

Speaking on a pre-taped interview for Fox News' The Ingraham Angle, the president called Pelosi "nervous Nancy because she's a nervous wreck."

"I think she's a disgrace," the president added. "I actually don't think she's a talented person, I've tried to be nice to her because I would have liked to have gotten some deals done. She's incapable of doing deals, she's a nasty, vindictive, horrible person — the Mueller report came out, it was a disaster for them."

While in Europe on a state visit to the United Kingdom and a trip to the beaches of Normandy where the invasion by Allied troops took place on June 6, 1944, the president met with survivors of the military operation. While there, Trump spoke of American's involvement in the Eurpoean theater of World War II and the liberation of European countries. He also greeted veterans, often dubbed "The Greatest Generation" and called them "incredibly brave people."

But speaking with Fox News host Laura Ingraham after the ceremony, Trump took off the gloves when addressing questions about domestic issues in the U.S.

Among them were queries about special counsel Robert Mueller's report into possible collusion between Russia and Trump's 2016 campaign and what Democrats expected from the investigation.

"They thought their good friend Bobby Mueller was going to give them a great report and he came out with a report with 13 horrible, angry Democrats who are totally biased against me," Trump said. "A couple of them worked for Hillary Clinton, they then added five more, also Democrats. With all of that, two-and-a-half years, think of it, from before I even got elected, they've been going after me and they have nothing."

Then he attacked Pelosi, taking jabs at her leadership and her home district of San Francisco, California.

"Nancy Pelosi's a disaster, okay, she's a disaster and let her do what she wants, you know what? I think they're in big trouble because when you look at the kind of crimes that were committed, and I don't need any more evidence, and I guess from what I'm hearing there's a lot of evidence coming in.

"And then ask Nancy, why is her district [having] drug needles all over the place? It's the most disgusting thing what she's allowed to happen to her district, with needles, with drug addicts... with people living on the sidewalk," he said.

Ingraham asked the president his thoughts on Pelosi's remarks that he should be in "prison" rather than going through impeachment hearings.

"It was a horrible, nasty, vicious statement while I'm overseas," Trump told Ingraham. "She didn't want to – she is a terrible person."
