Dozens of the World's Best Chefs to Swap Kitchens for a Night, Serve Meals Simultaneously

Gelinaz Kitchen Swap
Celebrity chefs from Peru, Brazil, Sweden, Thailand and 13 other countries are set to participate in a kitchen swap on July 9. Gelinaz!

In July, 37 of the world's best chefs—hailing from the biggest-name restaurants in 17 countries—will swap kitchens for a single night and serve dinners to the public simultaneously.

Gelinaz!, a group known for staging participatory food events, is organizing the kitchen-swapping endeavor. The shuffle isn't limited to restaurants; as the group's release puts it, each chef will also be living in their counterpart's home, "walking their dogs, watering the plants, [and] having breakfast with their family," according to Grub Street.

Tickets to the dinners will be available for purchase starting May 13, but ticket holders won't know who will be cooking for them until they arrive for the dinners on July 9.

While the lineup of 37 chefs (no word on who the 37th will be swapping with) is star-studded and very international—celebrity chefs from Peru, Brazil, Sweden, Thailand and 13 other countries will participate—the list includes only three women, as Eater points out.
