Nintendo's Next Mobile Game is RPG 'Dragalia Lost'

Nintendo has begun to build its library of mobile games over the last few years and its getting even larger in 2018. In Nintendo's recent earnings report, the company announced a partnership with Cygames to co-develop a new action-RPG mobile game for release this year.

According to an announcement on the Japanese Nintendo site, Dragalia Lost i s an all-new original action RPG coming to mobile. Dragalia Lost will first release in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau before making its way to North America and Europe.

In the partnership with Cygames, Nintendo obtains approximately five percent of Cygames' stock. Not much else is known about the upcoming Nintendo mobile game, Dragalia Lost but you can check out the official Cygames site to see the types of games they have developed.

Dragalia Lost is the sixth announced mobile game from Nintendo since 2016. Miitomo was the company's first mobile app, but acted more like a social app than a game. From there, Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp , all based on Nintendo IP, were released.

Mario Kart Tour was announced in February but doesn't have a release date yet. Nintendo did confirm Mario Kart Tour will be released in the next fiscal year, which puts the release window anywhere between November 2018 and March 2019. Dragalia Lost will be the first original IP created by Nintendo for its mobile sector.

With E3 2018 coming soon, more information on Dragalia Lost and other Nintendo mobile games will likely be revealed.
