The first bit of news is that a new character is coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ. While we don't know exactly who will join the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster, we know the character is from Universe 11. Our best guess is Jiren, and another possibility is Top, the leader of Team Universe 11.

Whoever the new fighter is, the answer will be revealed during the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals on January 26 and 27. The World Tour Finals will be broadcast live on Twitch.

We simply could not give this information earlier. Sorry

If you're wondering why Bandai Namco didn't reveal this information earlier, like during the company's livestream earlier this week, company reps explained they couldn't give the information any sooner. That's about as simple an explanation as possible.

There's even more Dragon Ball Z video game news as well, with Bandai Namco teasing a new game in the tweet above. The company gave little information about the "Dragon Ball Game Project Z", but from the picture included we can tell it will be an action RPG. The tweet seems to have some rough translation, but mentions the new game will focus on the "World of Dragon Ball Z." This means we can probably guess what general timeline the game will take place in, with a young Gohan and none of the additional characters introduced after the Buu saga.

It's not yet clear when we'll learn more about this Dragon Ball Game Project Z. It's possible, along with the new Dragon Ball FighterZ character, this action RPG will be revealed during the World Tour Finals. If there isn't a reveal, expect to wait until E3 in June. If the 2019 tease in the tweet is accurate, expect to see a release later in the year, likely between September and December.
