Drake's new album, Scorpion, broke records on Apple Music and Spotify after it was released Friday. The Toronto rapper's music was streamed more than 170 million times within 24 hours, the Associated Pressreported onSunday.

He broke his own record in March of 2017 when More Life debuted. The album garnered over 89.9 million streams. Scorpion, however, received more than 132 million streams on Spotify. Previously, rapper Post Malone held the record in April with Beerbongs & Bentleys, which garnered 78.7 million streams, Forbes reported Monday.

Each of the 25 tracks from the album landed on the Spotify's world Top 200 chart, Rolling Stone reported Sunday.

Scorpion was streamed over 10 million times per hour, Spotify tweeted to their followers on Friday morning. It's in position to become the first album to receive 1 billion streams worldwide, according to The Verge.

The album, which includes hits like "Nice For What, "God's Plan" and "I'm Upset," could make Drake eligible to receive his fifth consecutive platinum plaque. With "God's Plan" going eight times platinum and "Nice For What" going three times platinum, Drake solidified himself as the RIAA's top certified singles artist of all time, based off of information from Forbes and Chart Data.

The Toronto rapper has been the topic of discussion in the hip-hop world because of his on-going beef with rapper Pusha T. Fans were anticipating the response to Pusha T's diss song "The Story Of Adidon," a track that exposed some of Drake's secrets, like confirming he fathered a son with former adult film star Sophie Brussaux.

Drake talked about his son for the first time on tracks likes "Emotionless" and "March. 14."
