Dunkin’ is testing a 48-ounce collectible “coffee bucket” at selected stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire after social media posts showed the jumbo drink appearing on some local menus.

Newsweek has compiled a list of places customers can get hold of the coffee bucket.

What Is the Dunkin’ Coffee Bucket

According to Fast Company, The Independent, and MassLive, the Dunkin’ coffee bucket is a 48-ounce plastic bucket-shaped container that comes with a handle, lid, and an extra-long straw and is designed to hold cold drinks.

Delish said that the buckets appeared to be pre-filled, rather than made to order, limiting add-ins and flavor customizations.

An Instagram post, published by Dunkin’ at the Memorial Union Building in Durham, New Hampshire, shows that the bucket is available for iced coffees, iced lattes, and refreshers, and describes it as a “Dunkin' Beverage Bucket” that is “48 oz of iced perfection.”

MassLive says the coffee buckets start at $8.89, and the refreshers come in at around $9.49.

The largest drink size that Dunkin’ currently offers nationwide is 24 ounces, making the bucket double the size of an extra-large beverage.

Where Can Customers Get a Dunkin’ Beverage Bucket?

Although Dunkin’ hasn’t listed exactly where it’s testing the 48-ounce bucket across Massachusetts—the original birthplace of the brand—and New Hampshire, The Independent has reported that it is available in the following stores across the two states:

While many fans are begging Dunkin’ to launch the buckets in their local stores, with comments like “Bring it to Fort Wayne, Indiana!!” “I wish we had that here [in] Philadelphia, ” and “I want the dunkin coffee bucket more than I want my next paycheck,” some aren’t as impressed, questioning the price and health consequences: “You can buy two 32oz large iced coffees for the price of one 48oz bucket,” said one user on X.

“Really curious how much sugar, caffeine and total calories are in those 48 oz,” said another, and “Y’all are sick if you drink this.”

What Happens Next

Dunkin’ hasn’t yet announced a broader rollout or timeline for the beverage buckets, but an announcement is expected once the trial has finished, with availability likely to change according to feedback and demand.
