The Rock and Kevin Nash Squash the WWE Beef No One Knew They Had

WWE fans will be glad to see two wrestling legends bury the hatchet—even if they didn't know there was a feud in the first place.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Nash exchanged humble messages on Twitter, where fans got to see Nash regret his behaviour toward his wrestling rival back in the year 2002. Taking it in his stride, Johnson assured Nash there was never any bad blood between the pair.

The incident happened during WrestleMania 18, which marked Nash's come back to the WWE (formerly WWF) franchise at the time.

What Did The Rock and Kevin Nash Say on Twitter?

62-year-old Nash started the exchange between the two by posting a gym selfie. He thanked the "NWO Nation" (New World Order was the original wrestling stable he was part of with Hulk Hogan) for their support at the Indiana Comic Con. Nash then described his workout in the gym and, referencing the Under Armour shoes he was wearing, thanked The Rock "for putting out these bad ass kicks."

Johnson saw the message and replied with strong praise for the wrestling legend. He wrote: "You're an inspiration my brother. In tremendous shape!!! Holy s***. Way to raise the bar!"

You’re an inspiration my brother 👏🏾💪🏾
In tremendous shape!!! Holy shit.
Way to raise the bar!

This compliments came back even stronger from Nash toward Johnson, as he addressed the star's all-round career. Nash wrote: "Following your lead. You're work ethic is amazing. You're filming schedule would kill most mortals but the promotion for your films is the grind. You film and promote at the same time. Sorry I was such a d*** to you when I came back in 2002. Just trying to keep my spot."

During WrestleMania 18, The Rock was already a fan-favourite as "The People's Champion" while Kevin Nash was returning to the WWE franchise with New World Order along with Hollywood Hogan and Scott Hall. The Rock was involved in storylines and matches with the trio, but the feud apparently went further as Nash felt the need to apologise for his behaviour 19 years after the event.

Showing there are no issues or lingering resentment between them, Johnson replied to Nash's admission with two messages.

Following your lead. You're work ethic is amazing. You're filming schedule would kill most mortals but the promotion for your films is the grind. You film and promote at the same time. Sorry I was such a dick to you when I came back in 2002. Just trying to keep my spot.

He wrote: "Never a need for any apology big brother, but thank you very cool of you. You guys had to come back with some bite & venom. I was living in the house you helped build, so I was pumped you, Scott & Hulk were coming back cause #1) I was always a fan and #2) most importantly.."

His message continued in a separate tweet, "I wanted us all to link up and make a lot of [money] (for us and the whole roster). WM18 was huge and a career highlight for me. As was our big Mania buildup when we had a chance to have fun and rumble. It was a great time in our business! Wish we could've worked more! NWO4L." This final abbreviation is presumed to mean New World Order for life. Johnson finished his message with a whisky glass emoji, perhaps proposing a toast to Nash.

I wanted us all to link up and make a lot of 💰(for us and the whole roster). WM18 was huge and a career highlight for me.
