The Electronic Entertainment Expo (a.k.a, E3) is about to formally kick off, with a number of presentations running throughout Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
We have already prepared a comprehensive guide on how to watch all the major showcases and what we anticipate from each of them. While that article covers the big publishers that will be making an appearance—such as Ubisoft, Nintendo, Warner Bros., Bethesda and Microsoft—the E3 conference technically starts before any of those, with Saturday's ''Guerrilla Collective'' stream at 11 a.m. ET.
What Is the Guerrilla Collective?
Similar to the Summer Game Fest that aired on Thursday, Guerrilla Collective is its own mini-showcase that offers a platform to more obscure indie titles from across the globe. Unlike most of the other shows at E3, it is not explicitly tied to any one publisher and is, therefore, free to broadcast announcements, trailers and gameplay footage from a wide range of different companies.
Given that it is a platform dedicated exclusively to more niche releases, it does not get quite as much attention as the other E3 shows but it is worth keeping an eye on. According to the Guerrilla Collective website, this year's stream will feature an appearance from long-awaited stealth horror game Hello Neighbor 2 and a quick update on Ghost Runner.
In terms of the latter, Polish developer One More Level is rumored to be working on a follow-up to its sleeper hit, in which case we can expect to find out a little bit more during their slot.
Other games that have been confirmed for the Guerrilla Collective include Black Book, Loot River, Sable, Demon's Mirror and Slime Heroes. The full list is available on the organizer's dedicated website.
How to Watch the Guerrilla Collective
Like all the other presentations at this year's E3 event, the Guerrilla Collective is being held virtually and is readily available to anybody who wants to tune in. The showcase, which starts at 11 a.m. ET Saturday, is going to be livestreamed on its own dedicated Twitch channel.
It will be followed by yet another indie conference, the Wholesome Direct, at 1 a.m. ET. This is also dedicated to less high-profile releases, although it is more specifically geared towards uplifting, family-friendly fare. If you want to check out the Wholesome Direct, then you can watch along to its livestream on YouTube.
Meanwhile, the first presentation from a major AAA publisher at this year's E3 will be the Ubisoft Forward. Starting at 3 p.m. ET, this is expected to provide new updates on Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, Far Cry 6 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction.
