Angelina Jolie revealed a new body modification on the center of her chest while at the 2024 Tony Awards.
The 49-year-old actress showed off a new tattoo on her chest while posing on the red carpet at the Sunday, June 16 event and coordinated her look with her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne, both wearing striking teal outfits. The new ink, a delicate black outline of a swallow, carries a poignant symbolism of loyalty and homecoming, reflecting the bird's instinct to return to the same place.
A fan on X (formerly known as Twitter) speculated that Jolie's 18-year-old daughter, Shiloh, might share a matching bird tattoo. The social media user posted side-by-side photos comparing what appears to be Shiloh's arm to Jolie's new tattoo.

The new tattoo is a recent addition to the actress's extensive collection of body art. She commemorated the premiere of The Outsiders with a tattoo on her arm that reads "Stay Gold," a direct reference to the book, which she first displayed during the musical's opening night on April 11.
The night turned out to be particularly memorable for Jolie, as she won her first Tony Award for producing The Outsiders, which garnered an impressive 12 nominations and secured four wins. Dressed for the occasion, Jolie wore a strapless teal velvet gown by Atelier Versace, designed to showcase her new tattoo prominently. She accessorized with a matching wrap, a gold clutch, and a chunky gold bangle bracelet.
Vivienne, who worked as a production assistant on the musical, complemented her mother's ensemble with a teal vest and trousers, a white dress shirt, a teal bow tie, and comfortable Converse sneakers.
This isn't the first time Vivienne has immersed herself in the theater world. On Thursday, May 30, Jolie and her daughter attended the opening night of Reefer Madness: The Musical in Los Angeles. The mother-daughter duo posed for photos with actress Kristen Bell, who starred in the original film and produced the stage adaptation.
