Saturday Night Live's celeb-packed 50th anniversary bash brought out the A-listers — and pop icon Cher, 78, was front and center. On her arm? Boyfriend Alexander "AE" Edwards, who is 40 years her junior.
The couple held hands on the anniversary special's red carpet — held Sunday, February 16 at 30 Rockefeller Center — and posed for the camera, as Cher cozied up under a wrap to stay warm on the cold New York City night. She wore a dramatic, floor-length gown with a neckline bedecked with Cher-worthy sparkle, and wore her blond hair in a glamorous up-do with ringlet tendrils.

Between photos, Edwards was seen tenderly fixing Cher's hair so it perfectly framed her face.
In one photo, the singer held her hand to the Def Jam music producer's chest. Edwards, 39, was all smiles. He also dressed up for the occasion, in a fashion-forward, double-breasted tuxedo with a Peter Pan collar. During the anniversary special, the couple — who met and started dating at Paris Fashion Week in 2022 — sat with actor Kevin Costner and in front of comedian Rob Schneider.
During a skit with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Poehler asked, "Cher, you have a question?" "No, I don't," Cher deadpanned. "I got a lot of answers."
The evening opened with Paul Simon and Sabrina Carpenter, and featured skits by SNL powerhouses Steve Martin, Jim Belushi, Alec Baldwin, Martin Short, Kristin Wiig, Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon, Eddie Murphy, Seth Meyers, and many more. Meryl Streep, Jack Nicholson, Keith Richards, Adam Sandler, Lil Wayne and Miley Cyrus also made appearances. The evening ended with a medley — that included "Abbey Road" — sung by Paul McCartney.
Just two days prior to the event, on Friday, February 14, Cher donned a sparkly, one-piece bodysuit to sing her classic "If I Could Turn Back Time" at the "SNL50: Homecoming Concert" at Radio City Music Hall. The Valentine's Day event also featured performances by Lady Gaga, Bonnie Raitt, Bad Bunny, Jack White, Snoop Dogg, Backstreet Boys and Jelly Roll.
