Dennis Rodman has responded to claims made by his estranged daughter, Trinity Rodman.

Following an interview between 22-year-old Trinity and Alex Cooper of Call Her Daddy — which dropped on Wednesday, December 18 — the soccer star opened up about their strained relationship. Dennis, 63, took to Instagram on Thursday, December 19, sharing an apology.

The post contained a video containing family photos of Dennis and Trinity in moments from her youth.

"Sorry I wasn't the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop," Rodman wrote in the post's caption. "I will keep Trying even when you're being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it's difficult and if it takes a long time."

Rodman continued, saying, "I'm always here And tell you all the time [whether] it's your voice or voicemail how proud I am. I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me."

The post comes after Trinity called Rodman "an alcoholic" and slammed his partying lifestyle, which she witnessed growing up.

"He's not a dad," Trinity said in the Call Her Daddy interview. "Maybe by blood, but nothing else."

Trinity also accused her father of not being present when she was a child.

"We were seeing him once, two, three, four times a year," Trinity said. "Every time they were together, it was the same s**t. It was my mom being valid and what the f**k are you doing? Help us and help your children."

Regardless of how Trinity may feel about the retired NBA star, she said she will be there for her father should he ever need to contact her.

"If he needed to hear my voice before anything happens," Trinity said. "That's why I answer the phone, not for me."
