Jelly Roll is proving that weight loss isn't just about health — it's about style, too.
The Grammy-nominated artist has partnered with Zevia for a new commercial which dropped on Monday, March 20, and he's rocking a look that no one saw coming: cut-off Daisy Dukes.
The commercial kicks off with Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason DeFord) driving a bright red pickup truck into a rest stop complete with a gas station, diner, and motel. As he steps out in his signature mullet, a pair of young boys watch him from afar in awe, eyeing his short jorts and cut-off flannel shirt. The tune of Linda Lyndell's "Whatta Man" can be heard playing in the background.

One of the boys comments on the country star's new commercial role, saying, "By choosing him as the spokesperson... Zevia is dismantling the notion that 'real men' cannot be conscious of what goes into their bodies." The singer, who then grabs a can of their Creamy Root Beer out of the store, proceeds to drink the beverage.
"Mr. Roll is now quite literally the poster child of sweet authenticity," the child continues, before the other asks, "What?" Jelly Roll, 40, lets out a burp before the commercial cuts to him smiling directly into the camera while holding the can.
Fans seemingly loved the "Wild Ones" singer's new gig, and left their opinions in the comments of a video shared to YouTube.
"This Is Great! I Busted Out Laughing When The Kid Says, "Why's He Just Standin There?" 😂😂😂This Is GOLD!" one fan commented.
Another said, "Jelly is looking so good!!! Am loving everything about this."
A third left the singer a critique, saying, "I like Jelly Roll, but he really should have some of those face tattoos removed especially the crosses and the teardrops, it just looks trashy.."
The former American Idol judge recently lost 120 pounds, and shared an exciting update with fans about his fitness journey on February 18.
"We are training for our second 5k," Jelly Roll revealed in an Instagram video before saying "A little bit over a year ago... I mean, it was really bad. I had let myself get to a point of just being absolutely disgusted with myself. I was so sick and tired of it." His next 5K will be in Tampa, Florida, in May 2025.
