Mark Hamill found himself in an unexpected and seemingly embarrassing moment at the British Academy Film Awards on Sunday.

The 73-year-old actor was presenting the prestigious Best Film award on February 16 when a wardrobe malfunction took him by surprise.

In a video posted by The Sun on TikTok that same night, Hamill is speaking passionately about the magic of cinema, saying, "For me, it's that films create worlds so vivid and stories so powerful that we lose ourselves completely." But as he read from the teleprompter, a shocked look spread across his face as his pants suddenly slipped down to his knees behind the podium.

Quick to react, Hamill reached down to adjust his bottoms, continuing his speech with composure. The actor smoothly carried on, saying, "They create immersive cinematic landscapes that feel live whether they're set here in London or anywhere you imagine they can take you," before announcing the nominees and presenting the award to Conclave, starring Ralph Fiennes.

The video has been seen quite a few times on social media, and fans were quick to comment on the TikTok shared by the outlet.

"I felt that panic in his eyes," one user said, while another admitted, "No wayyyy I could have powered through like that 🙏🏻."

"How do your pants fall from just standing there. I sense a disturbance in the force," another commented.

A fourth user asked, "Why would this happen? Is he missing suspenders or are they not tailored properly? I just feel like for a big night like this your pants would fit."

In addition to the wardrobe slip, Hamill took a moment to honor his Star Wars co-star Warwick Davis, calling him "one of the hardest working men in show business" before Davis was presented with the BAFTA Fellowship by Harry Potter star Tom Felton.
