Sara Haines got in on Whoopi Goldberg's birthday humor.

Goldberg celebrated her 69th birthday on the Wednesday, November 13 episode of The View with her co-hosts Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro and brought her signature comedy to the festivities.

Goldberg — born Caryn Elaine Johnson — was presented with a giant wheel of cheese with her face on it, prompting her to reveal, "I like to be eaten from time to time."

While Haines, 47, previously confessed to the audience that she "always wanted [her] face on cheese," she jokingly walked offstage after Goldberg's tongue-in-cheek admission.

She immediately came back to the stage while the audience laughed and gave Goldberg a hug.

The EGOT winner continued with the segment, noting that the cheese "is a wheel of authentic Parmigiano Reggiano from Italy, and this has been aged for 24 months and it's a testament to Italian tradition and quality."

She began to add, "So if you'd like a chance to win a wheel just like this —" before Haines cut her off to say "and eat Whoopi Goldberg!"

"That's right! No — and eat yourself!" the Sister Act star replied.

Elsewhere in the episode, Goldberg made a more serious claim when she accused a Staten Island bakery of not accommodating her birthday order because of her political beliefs. The bakery has since denied her claims.

Goldberg previously came under fire from fans earlier in the week, as she commented during the Tuesday, November 12 episode that she can relate to working-class people in America.
