Bruce Vilanch might have a new gig –– playing Travis Kelce's mom, Donna Kelce —at least in the eyes of some confused fans.

The 76-year-old comedian –with similar shoulder-length blonde hair, bangs, and signature red glasses – recently shared a hilarious story about how he's often mistaken for the famous NFL mom during an appearance on The View on Monday, March 3.

Vilanch, who has made a name for himself as a comedic writer and performer, addressed the audience with a wink. "For you football fans out there, I am not Travis Kelce's mother," he said, prompting laughter from the crowd. "The resemblance is alarming, I will give you."

The mix-up has become more common ever since Travis began dating pop superstar Taylor Swift in 2023, catapulting the Kelce family into the spotlight. Vilanch joked about the confusion with The View panel, sharing how people have messaged him thinking they saw him at the Super Bowl sitting in a box with Taylor Swift. "People call me and say, 'Dude, [are you] at the Super Bowl? What are you doing in a box with Taylor?'"

With their shared shoulder-length blonde hair, bangs, and signature red glasses, it's easy to see why fans make the connection. "I looked and I thought, 'Yeah, we are each other's doppelgänger,'" Vilanch quipped.

In a video of the moment shared to Instagram, fans were quick to comment on the uncanny resemblance between Valanch and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's mother.
