Virtual pop star Hatsune Miku is joining Fortnite Festival with new skins, instruments, and more crossover items. The collaboration will add free and premium rewards for fans of the music-themed Fortnite spinoff.

Miku's addition to Fortnite isn't surprising given that season 6 of the battle royale is celebrating Japanese culture and history. It's only fitting that its musical spinoff would add the biggest Japanese pop star in the world, from a certain point of view.

This season's Music Pass will include a single track for 1,400 V-Bucks. You can earn its free rewards by gaining XP through any Fortnite experience.

There are plenty of other changes in the upcoming season. For starters, the Battle Stage is getting four new game modes. Those who play both Fortnite Battle Royale and Fortnite Festival will now be able to equip instruments as pickaxes and back blings, adding more value to their purchases.

Fortnite Festival Season 7 will start on January 14, 2025, and end on April 8, 2025.
