Fans have been clamoring for a "Fallout: New Vegas" remaster for years, but the release of Season 2 of Amazon's "Fallout" TV series has led to renewed interest. Many have clung onto any hint as possible proof that a remaster is in the works.

The rumors gained a lot of steam when Bethesda put out a website with a countdown clock that ended when Season 2 of the show ended. However, that ended up being a big nothingburger.

Now, weeks later, Iron Galaxy Studios got fans really excited when they posted on social media a picture of computer screens with the iconic "Fallout" loading screen.

"Today’s our February company meeting. It’s time to catch up with what the company’s been up to and what’s coming up next for IG," the caption read.

Iron Galaxy Studios previously assisted Bethesda on "Fallout 4 VR" and "Fallout 76," so it would stand to reason they'd be involved with a possible "New Vegas" remaster. After the post, rumors exploded that they were gearing up to work on the "New Vegas" remaster.

However, it sounds like fans should temper their expectations.

Iron Galaxy Studios saw the internet firestorm they created and had to put out a statement.

"Nope! There is nothing to see here," the statement said on X. "Sorry to disturb the volcanoes, but that was just a BTS look at our company meeting. We use that slide every month and has nothing to do with anything Fallout being worked on. As you can imagine, we love Fallout, too. Now pardon us as we retreat back into our vault."

Now, if they are working on anything "Fallout" related, they'd have to hide that until Bethesda told them otherwise, but it does seem like there isn't any credibility to the idea that they're working on a "New Vegas" remaster. That doesn't mean that won't be one eventually, but there might not be an end in sight for the fans who have patiently waited.
