To claim a free game, players simply have to log in to their Epic Games Store account and click on the "get" button next to the game to download it. Once a player has downloaded the game, it is theirs to keep.

In 2019, Epic Games gave away 73 free games and players claimed more than 200 million copies of free games. The games Epic gave away scored an average of 80 percent in reviews, the company claimed.

Epic also sold $680 million worth of games to 108 million PC customers last year, and the most popular games sold included World War Z, Satisfactory Early Access, Dauntless, Untitled Goose Game, The Outer Worlds, Borderlands 3, Metro Exodus, Tom Clancy's The Division 2, and Control.

Epic Games sold exclusive games on its store and will continue to do so throughout 2020. Games arriving exclusively on the Epic Games website in 2020 include Magic: The Gathering, Predator: Hunting Grounds, Auto Chess, Rogue Company, and Godfall.

Gamers can also expect more cross-platform games arriving in the Epic Games store this year. Epic is helping developers support cross-platform gaming on PC, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, iOS, and Android, using the tools they developed for Fortnite.
