When League of Legends did away with it's IP currency system, it forced players to transition over to the new Blue Essence. This currency is earned from leveling up or crafting with Hextech Chests. To appease players that had collected more IP than they knew what to do with, Riot Games changed that old currency into BE and opened up an exclusive shop where players could spend it. Players could purchase rare icons, chromas, wards and skins that weren't available anywhere else, giving them plenty of reason to tolerate the change. Since then, Riot has opened up the store twice a year to give players a chance to dispose of their unwanted BE on something unique and shiny.

League of Legends Essence Emporium
Starting June 4, the Essence Emporium will allow you to spend your leftover BE on a number of goodies. The Mystery Icon Box will promise to give you an icon you don't already own, while the Mystery Minis Icon Box will only include the chibi portraits of random champions. Here's the full list of items and cosmetics that will be available for purchase in the store.
- 1,500 BE - Mystery icon box
- 2,000 BE - Chromas
- 2,500 BE - Mystery minis icon box, series 1,2 and 3
- 2,500 BE - Mystery minis icon box, series 4
- 4,000 BE - Baron Hat Poro icon
- 4,900 BE - Mystery ward skin box
- 6,000 BE – Essence Collector ward skin
- 10,000 BE - League Partner Program chromas (Emerald Infernal Amumu, Emerald Program Leblanc, Emerald Winter Wonder Neeko)
- 25,000 BE - "But Why?" Odyssey Sona emote
- 50,000 BE - "Make it Rain" emote
- 50,000 BE - Gemstone + Gemstone Knight icon
- 75,000 BE - Gemstone + Gemstone Prince icon
- 75,000 BE - "Money Bags" emote
- 100,000 BE - Gemstone + Gemstone King icon
- 150,000 BE - URFWick skin
Chromas that were released between July and December of any year will be available for purchase. That means all the Pool Party skins, Cosmic Queen Ashe, the Odyssey line-up, Dragon Trainers, Coven monsters and the Praetorians. When Riot Games releases an official list, or provides a date on when the store will close, we will update this post.
The Blue Essence store is a chance to purchase cosmetics without spending real money. Hardcore players can unlock items they normally wouldn't, which is always a good sign. Prove your dedication to League by having enough money to splurge on an URFWick skin.
