Woman's Reaction to 'Jurassic World' Scene is Every Mom Watching a Movie

From asking questions every 5 minutes to getting up to go to the bathroom at the worst possible time, anyone who has ever watched a movie with their mom knows it's rarely a relaxing experience.

Which is why when Twitter user Vinny ฿ (jah_vinny_23) shared this video of a woman screaming (and asking Jesus to intervene) while watching the incredibly tense scene of a dinosaur attacking the gyrosphere in Jurassic World, the internet could relate.

Vinny ฿ shared the footage to Twitter on March 22, along with the caption: "This is what happens when you watch a movie with your mom," and his fellow Twitter users immediately knew what he was talking about.

NomaCulture said: "I swear!!!! It killed me!!!!"

Philani_tizomad replied: "She reminds me of my mother."

nosukamalinga added: "My grandma yoh. She will be praying non stop."

Released in 2015, Jurassic World was a huge hit at the box office, making $1.672 billion worldwide. A sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, came not long after in 2017. With the third entry in the revived franchise, Jurassic World: Dominion, scheduled to be released this summer, a year later than originally planned, this could be mothers across the nation in a few months.

In the scene, brothers Zach and Grey Mitchell (played by Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins) are riding around the park in a gyrosphere—a glass, sphere-shaped ride that takes visitors around the park so they can "safely" watch the dinosaurs. Of course, this is Jurassic World, and few people stay uneaten for long.

The brothers decide to ignore a warning alert asking them to return to the park and instead go off-road into a forest. They're soon attacked by an Indominus Rex, a fictional cross between a tyrannosaurus rex and a velociraptor, and some grumpy ankylosaurs who are disturbed in the ensuing chaos.

The relatable video has received over 25,000 likes and 8,000 retweets, with Twitter users using the thread to share their own wholesome stories of family members getting all worked up over movies and TV shows.

Krucage1 shared: "Lol My Late Great Grandmother would walk on us watching Wrestling and then she would just say "Wuuuu" and quickly walk out.."

Ngunelihlekazi commented: "You just reminded me of my late mom, this was so her. She'd be heartbroken the rest of the night/day depending when the movie was on playing."

While CastleLarger said: "Also the pain of having to translate an entire movie for your village relatives while watching the movie.

"Ayi kabi I love my extended fam, but that took a lot out of me while growing up."

PetiteCyclis added: "She's good. Mine used to ask what was going on, even while watching it."

In fact, everyone loved the video so much, they were soon demanding more videos of his "mom," at which point Vinny ฿ explained that the woman in the video isn't actually his mother.

In the comments, he said: "Please note this is not my Mom!"

To which kaymoyaniancy replied: "She represents several people's moms so relax."

Jurassic Park was released in 1993 and was followed by two successful sequels, Jurassic Park: The Lost World (1997) and Jurassic Park III (2001). The original films were not only a hit with audiences but are considered an important part of film history, so it's no surprise the more recent installments also have viewers on the edge of their seats.

Still, for a less harrowing experience, perhaps the woman should watch this fluffier version of the original Jurassic Park instead.
