Fallout 76 Adhesive Guide: Create a Farm to Make Your Own

The easiest way to get adhesive is to craft your own. To create adhesive, go to a cooking station and look for the vegetable starch recipe towards the bottom of the list. Fortunately, it's one of the few recipes you have access to right away, and the components are fairly common. The recipe is as follows:

  • Two Corn
  • Two Mutfruit
  • Two Tato
  • One Purified Water

This means when setting up your camp, you should plant Corn, Mutfruit and Tato plants. To plant a vegetable, you'll need one of that type and some fertilizer. If you're in a hurry to find some, we recommend scouting any of the farms you find on the map. You can tell a landmark is a farm because it has a small tractor and field icon on the minimap. We recommend equipping the "Green Thumb" perk card as it double the harvested amount from plants.

If you are short on fertilizer, spoiled meat and vegetables can be scrapped to create some. It takes 10 spoiled items to make fertilizer at a Chemistry station. Again, if you're in a hurry make it a point to scout farms. There's usually a bag or two of fertilizer laying around. You can also find plans for a fertilizer producer for your campsite. It requires three razorgrain and one steel scrap to build.

With this setup, you can theoretically make as much adhesive as you want. The real limiting factors are time and finding Purified Water. If you want to spend Atom Points, there is a Water Purifier available for only 300 Atoms in the store on Fallout 76 's main menu. It can create two Purified Waters per hour at your camp. It makes things much easier, because everytime you go to your camp you can usually find the resources from the purifier and your crops to make vegetable starch, which gives two units of adhesive for every one starch you make.

If you want to find your adhesives the old-fashioned way, you'll need to find junk and scrap it. The most common items that can be broken down into adhesive include rolls of duct tape and Wonderglue. The higher the quality of either, the more adhesives you'll earn for scrapping that item.
