With Week 8 of the NFL season rapidly approaching, it's time for fantasy football players to assess the latest injury updates and scout waiver wires in a bid to find those all-important valuable pickups.

Here is a roundup of the main injuries from Week 7 and their impact on your fantasy football roster.

Wide Receiver

Albert Wilson—Miami Dolphins

Wilson is expected to be out for the remainder of the season after injuring his hip. While he confirmed on Twitter that he won't need surgery, he faces a long period of recovery and rehab ahead, which is a major blow for the Dolphins.

Waivers pickup: Danny Amendola—Miami Dolphins (9.3 fantasy points on average, owned by 24.4 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

John Ross—Cincinnati Bengals

Ross returned to action in Week 7 after missing two games but only managed to aggravate a groin issue and left the field early. The No. 9 overall pick in the 2017 draft is expected to be out for a few weeks, but might return after the Bengals' bye in Week 9.

Waivers pickup: Tre'Quan Smith—New Orleans Saints (6.1 fantasy points on average, owned by 8.7 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

Kenny Stills—Miami Dolphins

Another Dolphins receiver to come out of Week 7 banged up, Stills strained his groin on Sunday and will miss the Thursday night game against the Texans in Houston. Miami will monitor him week-to-week and he could make a comeback in Week 9.

Waivers pickup: Martavis Bryant—Oakland Raiders (5.7 fantasy points on average, owned by 2.4 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

Quarterback

Josh Allen—Buffalo Bills

Bills coach Sean McDermott said earlier this week that Allen will not play against the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football as he continues to nurse an elbow injury. The No. 7 overall pick in this year's draft sprained the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow on October 14 against the Texans and while he doesn't require surgery, he remains week-to-week.

Waivers pickup: Baker Mayfield—Cleveland Browns (10.5 fantasy points on average, owned by 40.5 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

Josh Rosen—Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals first-round pick in this year's draft sprained his toe late in Week 7 and was spotted wearing a walking boot on his foot after the game. He didn't practice on Monday and while the Cardinals are confident he will suit up on Sunday, he's one to keep an eye on.

Waivers pickup: Case Keenum—Denver Broncos (13.8 fantasy points on average, owned by 11.4 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

Ryan Tannehill—Miami Dolphins

Tannehill missed Week 7 after injuring his shoulder on October 14 against the Bears and will sit out Thursday night's trip to Houston but could return against the Jets next week. "Ryan is in a good spot," Dolphins coach Adam Gase was quoted as saying by the Miami Herald. "We will probably be able to do some things with him throwing."

Waivers pickup: Joe Flacco—Baltimore Ravens (17.1 fantasy points on average, owned by 34 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

Running Back

LeSean McCoy—Buffalo Bills

McCoy left the field on the second offensive snap on Sunday and is in the league's concussion protocol after landing heavily on his head. The running back is also reportedly nursing an ankle injury and will sit out Monday night's game against the Patriots.

Waivers pickup: Chris Ivory—Buffalo Bills (6.8 fantasy points on average, owned by 9 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

Sony Michel—New England Patriots

The Patriots' rookie will also be absent on Monday Night Football after suffering a knee injury in the second quarter on Sunday. However, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the MRI on Michel's injured knee showed the damage is not as serious as first thought and he will be monitored on a week-to-week basis.

Waivers pickup: Jalen Richard—Oakland Raiders (9.9 fantasy points on average, owned by 18.5 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

Royce Freeman—Denver Broncos

Freeman sprained his ankle late against the Cardinals in Week 7 and underwent an MRI scan earlier this week. On Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reported Freeman missed practice and is a doubt for Sunday's game in Kansas City.

Waivers pickup: Raheem Mostert—San Francisco 49ers (2.1 fantasy points on average, owned by 3.9 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski—New England Patriots

Gronk was a surprise omission in the Patriots' win against the Bears on Sunday because of a back injury and missed practice on Wednesday. However, the five-time Pro Bowler could play against the Bills in his hometown when the Patriots travel to Buffalo on Monday night.

Waivers pickup: Benjamin Watson—New Orleans Saints (8.7 fantasy points on average, owned by 34.7 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)

Ricky Seals-Jones—Arizona Cardinals

Seals-Jones injured his forearm during Thursday Night Football in Week 7 after being hit by a helmet. Fears of a fracture proved unfounded but he remains a doubt for Sunday.

Waivers pickup: C.J. Uzomah—Cincinnati Bengals (6.8 fantasy points on average, owned by 40.1 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
