The Firefly Fun House Match Took John Cena on a Trip at WrestleMania 36

The Firefly Fun House match between John Cena and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt was just as mind-bending and entertaining as WWE fans were hoping for.

The penultimate match of night two of WrestleMania 36 began with John Cena coming out from the back and while looking around at the empty crowd at the Performance Center tells the camera "welcome to WrestleMania" before cameras cut to Bray's Firefly Fun House set.

From there Cena would be taken on a journey through his career and the "mistakes" of his past. We recommend going to the WWE Network to see the match in full, but here's a run down of what happened.

The match started with his first appearance on SmackDown when he came out to challenge Kurt Angle. Bray Wyatt was acting as Angle with Cena only being able to say "ruthless aggression." Cena tries to attack Wyatt, but Bray dodges his entire offense.

Cena is then transported to Saturday Night Main Event as Wyatt acts as Hulk Hogan and introduces his friend who doesn't have skill and is just a great body. Cena comes out and begins to do curls nonstop until he can't lift his arms.

Thuganomics Cena is next as he runs down Bray Wyatt in the ring with some rhymes, which makes Wyatt upset. The scene changes to WrestleMania 30 where Bray is back in his cult leader gimmick and tells Cena that he made the wrong decision in their last match, but now is his chance to rectify it.

Wyatt gives Cena a chair, which John tries to his Bray with but he disappears.

The next scene is WCW Nitro as Bray acts like Eric Bishoff introducing Hollywood Hulk Hogan. But instead of Hulk coming out, Cena comes out imitating him. Bray and Cena give two sweets, when John turns on Wyatt and starts to viciously beat him down.

When Cena snaps out of it, he's back in his regular ring gear when "The Fiend" appears and hits Sister Abigail and the Mandible Claw. Bray Wyatt appears next to them and counts the three giving "The Fiend" the victory. John Cena, lying lifeless in the ring, disappears putting an end to the match.

This match was set up after "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt lost the Universal Championship to Goldberg at Super Showdown in February. On a special episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Cena came out to deliver a promo about what he was doing at this year's WrestleMania. He first said that he didn't want to take a spot from some of the up-and-coming superstars and was about to leave when "The Fiend" appeared behind him.

Wyatt didn't say anything, but simply pointed at the WrestleMania sign in which Cena accepted the challenge.

In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, Wyatt would put on a few Firefly Fun House
