Five Shows to Watch If You Like Outer Banks

Elite on Netflix is the juicy Spanish series combining drama, murder, sex, and love into one nail-biting show.

It follows a group of students at the elite Spanish school Las Encinas. Each season has seen a murder take place, with the finger being pointed at the students of Las Encinas.

Just like Outer Banks, Elite deals with the themes of social class and divide among the students.

The series also features murder, just like season one of Outer Banks, which saw the Pogue's try to find out what happened to John B's (played by Chase Stokes) father.

Across four seasons of Elite, viewers are on the edge of their seats as they try to work out who is the killer, alongside witnesses numerous affairs, love triangles, corruption, and drug abuse.

The series has been on screens since 2018 and a fifth season is on the way.

In the meantime, the first four seasons of Elite are streaming on Netflix now.

The Society

Billed as a modern take on the 1954 novel, The Lord of The Flies by William Golding, The Society followed a group of teenagers who find themselves abandoned in their hometown, without any parents or people of authority to watch over them.

Just like Outer Banks and Elite, The Society deals with social division as the teens form alliances with each other in order to survive.

The Society was created by Chris Keyser and starred Kathryn Newton, Gideon Adlon, Sean Berdy, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Jacques Colimon, Olivia DeJonge, Alex Fitzalan, Grace Victoria Cox, Emilio Garcia Sanchez, and Olivia Nikkanen.

Sadly, The Society was canceled in 2020 as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic but the gripping first season is available to stream and download now via Netflix.

Riverdale is a teen-mystery drama series that shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.

Now into its fifth series, with a sixth on the way, Riverdale follows the story of Archie Andrews, a teenager living in the town of Riverdale where things are not quite as perfect as they seem.

The series is based on the characters of Archie Comics and stars an ensemble cast including KJ Apa in the role of Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones.

Riverdale airs on The CW in the US and is available on Netflix outside of the US.

Dare Me is an American teen drama series based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Megan Abbott.

Sadly, the USA Network decided to cancel Dare Me after one season in 2020, just four months after its premiere. There is some promising news for the show's future: Dare Me was co-produced by Netflix, so there is a huge possibility that Netflix could take the series on as an original.

Although there may be no more episodes of Dare Me to come, Outer Banks fans will not want to miss Dare Me.

The series is filled with drama, gossip, murder, friendship, and fallouts and is available to stream on Netflix now.
