Florida Man Attacks Woman With Condiment Packets For Bringing Him Wrong McDonald's Order

A Florida man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly pelted a woman with condiment packets for bringing him the wrong food order from McDonald's.

Jesus Oscar Ferrer Jr., 30, is facing a felony charge after he allegedly battered a woman, with whom he shares a child, with "sweet and sour sauce packets" on Sunday evening because she "bought the wrong food from McDonald's" to their motel room, according to a complaint affidavit.

At around 6 p.m. Pasco County deputies responded to a location on Gall Boulevard in Zephyrhills after being advised by the victim that a "physical altercation" had occurred, reported WFLA.

The victim, who has not been named, told authorities that Ferrer became angry when she bought the wrong food from McDonalds. "The victim advised a verbal argument ensued in which the Defendant began striking them with sweet and sour sauce packets in the head and face area," the affidavit said.

To defend herself, the woman reached out and grabbed Ferrer's beard, prompting a struggle to ensue. The victim told police that Ferrer "pinned her to the ground, placed his palm on her face and pressed her head into the ground using his body weight." At that point, she "ripped a chunk of the Defendant's beard from his face during the struggle, and this is when he let her up," according to the affidavit. Ferrer then fled the scene.

Police at the scene noted that marks on the victim's body were "consistent with her statements."

Ferrer was later arrested by authorities on a felony battery charge. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday.

Newsweek reached out to Pasco County Sheriff's Office for additional information but did not receive a response in time for publication.

Pasco County deputies said a criminal history check revealed him to have a previous conviction reference battery in April for biting the same victim on the thigh. After entering a no contest plea to the misdemeanor charge, a judge ordered Ferrer to pay a $750 fine, court costs and sentenced him to time served, according to The Smoking Gun.

Zephyrhills, a city in Pasco County, Florida, has one of the highest crime rates — 53 per one thousand residents — in America compared to all communities of all sizes, according to Neighborhood Scout. More than 92 percent of Florida communities have a lower crime rate than Zephyrhills, who's roughly 15,200 residents have a one in 19 chance of becoming victim to either a violent or property crime.
