'Tattooed Wizard' Florida Man Wanted for Series of Bank Robberies: 'I Am a Merchant of Dreams'

Sheriffs are on the hunt for a Florida man who has been pictured in a T-shirt reading "Tattooed Wizard" over a series of bank robberies in the Orlando area.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Jesse Paul Ayotte, 37, robbed four different banks, two on their turf, one in neighboring Volusia County, and another in Orlando.

"Jesse, turn yourself in!" wrote the Orange County Sheriff's Office on Twitter, sharing images of Ayotte, who is around five feet seven inches tall, bald and bespectacled. They urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the authorities.

According to Ayotte's LinkedIn page, the image from which was shared by police, he is the in-house member counselor at Hyatt Residence Club, a timeshare company based in Key West. He has also worked in telesales and as a salesman in real estate.

"I am a merchant of dreams, working to fulfill the wants, but mostly the NEEDS of my clients, customers, friends, and family!" says Ayotte's "about" section on his professional profile. He lists his education as an A.A. in Psychology from the College of Central Florida.

The Orange County and Volusia County sheriffs said Ayotte's alleged robbery spree began in May. He has been caught on surveillance camera wearing a white baseball cap in each incident.

On May 30 at around 16:57, Ayotte entered the Chase Bank at 7674 Dr. Phillips Blvd, and "presented a note asking for money and left as the teller went to get her manager."

Then on July 3 at about 16:35, Ayotte "implied a weapon" and robbed Regions Bank at 13700 S. John Young Pkwy. On July 20, he robbed another bank in Orlando, though the details were not immediately available about that incident.

Finally, on Tuesday this week, July 30, Ayotte robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 2730 Elkcam Blvd. Volusia County Sheriff's Office said he showed a teller a note demanding money and fled with an unknown amount of cash toward a strip mall behind the bank.

Orange County Sheriff's Office told Newsweek it had no further information on Ayotte. Hyatt Residence Club did not respond immediately to a comment request.

According to News13, records show Ayotte has lived in Land O' Lakes and has arrests on charges related to traffic infractions and felonies such as burglary, theft, and forgery in Florida, Missouri, and Oklahoma. He also reportedly filed for bankruptcy in 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
