Man Pulled Over in Traffic Stop Covered In Blood, Tells Cops He Killed His Father

A Florida man who was pulled over in a traffic stop and was found covered in blood later confessed to murdering his father.

Jared Noiman, 26, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his father, Jay Noiman, in Boca Raton, Florida.

Officers responded to a report of a dead person found in the One Ocean Plaza parking garage at 1 South Ocean Boulevard at around 7.30 a.m. EST Monday, the Boca Raton Police Services Department said in a news release.

The identity of the man was not immediately known to police at the time, but officers said he appeared to have been stabbed. While on the scene, investigators received information from police in Delray Beach about an early morning traffic stop involving Jared Noiman.

At the time of the traffic stop, Jared Noiman was covered in blood and said he had been in an altercation in Boca Raton but would not elaborate on who was involved and said he did not wish to report a crime.

He was identified as a suspect in the stabbing, which investigators determined was domestic-related, based on surveillance footage in the vicinity of One Ocean Plaza.

At around 5:45 p.m. EST Monday, a Boca Raton police officer located Jared Noiman's vehicle traveling along Glades Road.

After a traffic stop, police said he was arrested for driving without a valid driver's license and taken to the police department.

After police interviewed Jared Noiman, he was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail but he was released without being charged in the fatal stabbing.

"At this time, Noiman remained a suspect in the stabbing investigation; however, probable cause had not been established to charge him with a crime related to the stabbing," police said.

However, the following day, Jared Noiman returned to the Boca Raton Police Services Department voluntarily and asked to speak with investigators, saying he wanted to confess to the murder of his father.

Jared Noiman told police that he and his father had been living out of his father's vehicle and slept in the parking garage at One Ocean Plaza.

"Noiman said he did not like the way his father treated him and he started having thoughts about killing him," police said. "Noiman continued his statement with a detailed description of how he stabbed his father and then strangled him while he was sleeping in the parking garage."

Noiman was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on a first-degree murder charge on Tuesday, online records show.

The Boca Raton Police Services Department have been contacted for additional comment.
